About this year’s congress

Euroanaesthesia is one of the world’s largest and most influential scientific congresses for anaesthesia professionals. Held annually throughout Europe, our congress is a contemporary event geared towards education, knowledge exchange and innovation in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Pain and Perioperative Medicine, as well as a platform for immense international visibility for scientific research.

You can attend Euroanaesthesia in-person in Glasgow or virtually from the comfort of your own home or office. Wherever you are, and whatever your needs, we have a solution for you!

Policies

Conflict of Interest Policy

Any person who chairs or speaks in the formal programme of the Euroanaesthesia Congress is required to declare the existence of any relationships or arrangements, direct or indirect that could be reasonably considered to affect the presentation, over the last 3 years. This includes, but is not limited to, factors such as financial relationships, advisory positions, receipt of honoraria, payments or consultation fees, expenses, grants, stock shareholder and membership of other organisations. The range and degree of such links are difficult to define and the ESAIC encourages declaration of any facts that could be considered relevant, including non-specific grants to departments or research funds.

Faculty members are required to make a declaration. If a declaration is not received by the published deadline, the ESAIC

reserves the right to withdraw the official invitation. Any faculty member who declares a competing interest will be indicated in the Final Programme with an asterisk (*) and the statement will be made available to the delegates in the congress platform.

A record will be kept of submitted statements and this will be available for inspection by members of the Scientific Committee, the National Organising Committee and accrediting bodies.

In sessions organised within the Scientific Programme of Euroanaesthesia by other bodies and societies, the same conditions will apply.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Our congress is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately.

We expect participants to follow these rules during all conference-related events.

Photography and filming

Professional photography and video production will be taking place at Euroanaesthesia and these images may be used on future promotional materials for ESAIC events. By attending or participating in ESAIC congresses and other activities, the delegate acknowledges that the Event or part of it may be filmed by audio, visual, audio-visual or electronic means or photographed, including photographs of individuals or groups of delegates. The delegate agrees to permit ESAIC, or any third party licensed by ESAIC, to use and distribute such footage and photographs, which may feature images of you, in all or any media (including social media) whether now known or hereafter to be invented throughout the world in perpetuity for the purposes of advertising, publicity, reporting and otherwise in relation to the exploitation of such recordings and photographs. Please inform the photographer if you do not wish to be included in any individual or group photographs.

Children and companions

ESAIC advises not to have children under the age of 18 present in any scientific sessions rooms.

Children under 18 cannot access the exhibition area due to compliance.

Children above 18 need to purchase a visitor badge and can access the exhibition area.

ESAIC will install a dedicated room for children. Children under 14 years cannot be left unattended in this room and must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible caretaker at all times.
